Juvonen added that no major security company was making money because of preloaded software on the PC. It believes the business model of the pre-loaded anti-virus on a PC does not work because the anti-virus company has to pay the OEM for the preloaded software, which results in it losing money. On the PC side of things the company is focusing on the channel business with corporates, rather than traditional consumers channels. "If you look at the Intel merger with McAfee, they were expecting more out of that. EITEC provides the range of F-Secure products, including F-Secure Mobile Protection which protects against malware and data loss on IOS and Android mobile. He felt the Intel McAfee merger was not working out. On the competition, Juvonen described F-Secure as an "agile" company which was close to its partners and was focussed on China. "You will see devices with F-Secure anti-virus embedded on devices (smartphones) in the next six months," said Nath.
